Although Teak is our favorite with its beautiful golden brown coloring, there are many beautiful hardwoods to choose from. Many hardwoods change color over time which enhances the natural characteristics of the wood.

Afrormosia closely resembles teak; it is yellowish brown and ages to a dark brown.

Cumaru is a yellowish brown to light brown with a grain that varies from even to wavy.

Fireland Cherry has a warm reddish brown color.

Ipé (Ipe) has olive-brown to blackish coloring, it is also called Brazilian Walnut, Ironwood or Pau Lope

Jatoba is burgundy, deep red, or orange, with medium to coarse grain. It is also known as Brazilian Cherry.

Kempas has a reddish tone that varies from pale red, medium rose to dark red

Sapele is medium to fairly dark reddish brown to purplish brown.

Tigerwood is light golden-brown to red with brownish black streaks.

Naturally durable hardwoods are usually higher in density than softwoods and their resistant properties make them appealing for residential and commercial projects.
