East Teak Fine Hardwoods, Inc. Launches Blog
Company’s New Blog Among the First in Timber Industry
DALLAS — August 18, 2009 — East Teak Fine Hardwoods, Inc., a leading importer of high-grade exotic hardwoods, unveils its brand new blog site, http://blog.eastteak.com. The blog was created to offer a fluid forum for information and dialogue among industry partners and customers.
According to Matt Mladenka, Marketing and Sales Director of East Teak, the company's foray into this particular social media outlet is to complement the company's more traditional informational websites, www.EastTeak.com and www.CertifiedHardwoods.com. The blog was designed with builders, architects, designers, contractors and consumers in mind, allowing them to read about current trends, seek advice and add "point of view" to topic discussions. The new blog is also intended to help East Teak's target customers find product and industry dialogue easily, through an informal medium that is updated frequently.
"East Teak may be the first in the timber industry to create a blog," says Mladenka. "We wanted to build a fluid space within our website where users could feel more involved with East Teak, allowing them to discuss topics of value to the timber industry, and helping us to build better relationships with them. This component also allows us to make updates more quickly against a more static website. There is also a 'blog' link directly from our navigation bar on the EastTeak.com website to allow for easy access."
East Teak hopes to build a valuable repository of expert information on teak and other exotic hardwoods, with contributions from readers.
"People like to share their experiences, good and bad, for the benefit of others looking for the same information in order to make an educated decision," added Mladenka. "This blog allows all of us to do that without any fluff."
