| Wenge Kitchen in Upscale Dallas Residence.Located in the Highland Park area of Dallas, this ultra-chic home boasts some of East Teak's most exotic woods – wenge and ipe. With the help of architect Jeff Pemberton (817-371-6426), the homeowners worked to create rooms with simple, sleek lines while keeping a comfortable environment. Following their details, Randy Clowdus of Clowdus Construction (clow4us@sbcglobal.net) utilized East Teak's wenge throughout the kitchen and living room cabinetry and detailing. The ceiling beams were formed from 8-10 foot pieces of wenge. The living room bar area and exterior patio ceiling were clad in ipe. Clowdus states that "this was our first time construct a kitchen out of wenge, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. East Teak has an incredible supply of beautiful exotic hardwoods. Everyone involved in this project, including the homeowners, was such a pleasure to work with." |
