Decking Fasteners. EB-TY® and Ipe Clip®.
For a beautiful installation of decking materials, rely on EB-TY®. This system sets all deck boards to level and uniform heights. It makes work simple and beautiful:
- no scarring or fasteners visible
- only one EB-TY and one screw required at joist and deck board intersection
- all work is done from top inside
- spacing of deck boards is automatically set at 3/32”
- made from-UV resistant Polypropylene, which has a 100-year life
For more information, visit EB-TY.
With an Ipe Clip ® hidden deck fastener (we recommend the
Ipe Clip Extreme
), your deck surface can be free of nail or screw holes and it will also speed installation time. The bottom legs of the Ipe Clip ® fasteners preset the gap spacing between deck boards, giving a uniform gap spacing throughout the deck. The stainless steel screw is driven either straight through the fastener into the joist, or at a 45 degree angle through the fastener, through the deck board, and into the joist. The next board then slides onto the other half of the Ipe Clip ® fastener that is exposed.

End-Sealing. Anchor Seal can be used for end waxing to keep the ends of your deck boards from checking. The sooner an end sealer is applied, the more effective it will be. By using Anchor Seal immediately after sawing, depending on the species, you can prevent losses of 5% - 20% of your lumber. One quart will cover around 3,000 linear feet.
